Vought is under contract to Boeing to produce pressurized doors for the 737 narrow-body transport and the main deck cargo door for the C-40A. Vought has produced doors for this aircraft since early 1997.

In addition, Vought's facilities in Brea, Calif., and Everett, Wash., provide the following detail parts for the 737: FLE attach straps, doulbers, stowbin fittings, intercostals, splices, brackets and fittings.

The Boeing next-generation 737s, the most advanced single-aisle airplanes in the market today, are short- to medium-range jetliners that share several features, including size and layout of the flight deck, pilot type rating, spares, and maintenance procedures.

The 737 family includes four planes with different passenger loads and a cargo version (C-40A). The 737-600 can carry 110 to 132 passengers. The 737-700 seats 126 to 149 people. The 737-800 accommodates 162 to 189 passengers. The C-40A provides the U. S. Navy with a cargo/passenger version of the 737. The largest next-generation model, the 737-900, has a passenger capacity ranging from 177 to 189.
